I'm ecstatic to be a part of a wonderful program called, "My Blog is Carbon Neutral". The goal of this initiative is to cut our blog's footprint by raising awareness of the effect and damages caused by carbon emissions and also to neutralize these emissions via tree planting. According to Alexander Wissner-Gross PhD physicist at Harvard University and environmental activist, an average website causes about 0.02g (0,0008oz.) of carbon dioxide for each visit. You can offset your blogs carbon footprint for 50 years by joining this program and having a tree planted for your website. All trees will be planted in Northern California's Plumas National Forrest, which was devastated by wildfires in 2007.
Just a few easy steps to make it green:
- Write a blog post about the initiative + insert your favourite button
- E-mail the link to your post to CO2-neutral@kaufda.de
- We plant a tree for your blog in Plumas’!

I love that they do this! They even sent me an approximate date of when my tree would be planted. It makes me happy. :)
AWESOME!! I saw this on SITS and I'm gonna do it too! What a great idea to spread awareness and help the environment at the same time. ♡
I did this, too. SO cool!
I've seen this before, but had no idea what it was. Thanks for sharing! I'm adding this to my site!
Followed you over from Sits. Welcome to the blogging world!
